Support Our Teachers. Empower Our Students:

In my “Plan for Excellence,” our teachers are fully supported with the funding and classroom resources they need to help students catch up, readjust, and thrive in a post-pandemic world. I believe that  the future of public education in Trenton starts with putting the well-being of our kids and teachers first. That means prioritizing their mental, emotional, and physical health – not punishment, not parental shame, and not a divided, one-size-fits-all approach to education.

Connecting Parents in Every Language:

As a member of the Trenton School Board I will work to ensure that parents who are non-English speakers are connected to the right resources that will help them navigate the school system in their native languages.

Filling the Gaps. Fueling the Future:

Giving our kids a positive outlet to participate in afterschool is crucial for their development and safety. Unfortunately, these types of programs are often subject to budget cuts, leaving our kids with few extracurricular options and our parents overburdened. Under my “Pathway For Excellence” plan, the School Board will work closely with community organizations to create afterschool programs for students to fill in the gaps where funding for these programs have been cut.
